With the Canadian drummer Terry Clarke, a jazz legend comes to Cologne. He toured for years with Oscar Peterson, Jim Hall, Mark Murphy, Toshiko Akiyoshi Big Band and recorded CDs with Gary Burton, Rob McConnell’s Brass Big Band, Buddy Tate, Jay McShann, Carl Fontana and others. Clarke is an associate professor at the University of Toronto. Today he performs with WDR Big Band bassist John Goldsby and King George’s artistic director on piano, Martin Sasse. The three play classics of jazz piano history and original compositions.
