Amelie Scheffels is a young woman who has everything that makes good jazz singing: she sings soulful ballads that make her audience's heart skip a beat, and she sings daring scat solos that we know from bop and swing. In her concert programme, the singer from Seefeld in Upper Bavaria presents both her own songs and classics from the great catalogue of the American Songbook. Amelie Scheffels is currently completing her four-year vocal studies at the Munich University of Music and Theatre. Born into a family of musicians, she has been singing for as long as she can remember. Amelie took piano lessons at the age of five, and in her youth her voice was then trained in classical music. Eventually, however, she was infected by jazz and the resulting fever has not subsided to this day.
