Young, wild, daring, but at the same time tasteful and stylish. Keywords that all apply equally to the Benjamin Schmidt/Justus Czaske Quintet. With lots of energy, fast-paced solos, spherical guitar sounds and tight rhythms, the quintet presents exclusively original compositions by their two bandleaders Benjamin Schmidt and Justus Czaske. Stylistically they always move in the area of Modern Contemporary, but with their very own avant-garde elements. The 5 young musicians got to know each other partly during their studies at the music academies in Cologne and Osnabrück, partly as members of the JugendJazzOrchester NRW. Now they are on stage together for the first time in this formation to present their own and unique music.
