Ole Sinell (saxophone), Jerry Lu (piano), Henning Gailing (bass), Dominik Raab (drums)
Ole Sinell's saxophone playing takes its cue from Lester Young, Ben Webster and Gerry Mulligan. His tone is soft and elegant. Born in Berlin, he has played with the WDR Big Band, in the bands of Ed Partyka and Ralf Hesse, and has participated in concerts and recordings with John Clayton, Vince Mendoza, Fred Hersch and Till Brönner. For the past three years, Sinell has been the baritone saxophonist with the Big Band of the German Armed Forces.
His quartet includes Jerry Lu, Henning Gailing and Dominik Raab, three of the most sought-after straight-ahead jazz musicians in Germany.
