Himoya combine elements of jazz and electronic pop music in their playing. The band sees itself as a collective: the music is always created in the community. Jonathan Hofmeister (synthesizer), Nicolai Amrehn (bass), Julia Ehninger (vocals) and Jeroen Truyen (drums) have been working together in various projects for years. They decided to bring together the strengths of each individual to develop a common musical vision as a collective. In their poetic and thoughtful lyrics, they tell stories of affection and loss, as well as anecdotes from everyday life.
