Jazz, now with a good 100 years of history, likes to look back on its legends. In the first row is also his music : Dave Brubeck, bandleader, pianist and composer born in 1920. No one else but he managed to reach a completely new audience, the "middle class", with his music. Besides his jazz standards such as "In Your Own Sweet Way" or "The Duke", his odd time signatures are famous: and thus his most famous pieces such as "Take Five" (written by his congenial band member, the saxophonist Paul Desmond), "Pick up Sticks", "Unsquare Dance", "Blue Rondo à la Turk".
