The 22-year-old pianist, bassist and composer Leo Richartz studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. His musical roots lie in the Cologne Cathedral Music, where he first received classical piano and double bass lessons. Parallel to graduating from high school, Leo received his first jazz (piano) lessons from Prof. Frank Wunsch.

The trio met at a class recital by Prof. Wunsch and now presents a refreshing mix of reharmonized jazz standards and original compositions.

The trio touches its listeners with extraordinary joy of playing, a diverse way of expression as well as the ability to create the musical moment together in a special way.
