The name of the trio is a composition of magnolia and the suffix -lith (lithos -stone). Magnolias symbolize purity, grace and beauty. The trio carefully develops its music in search of precisely these attributes. Melodic miniatures are put together stone by stone, giving rise to multifaceted sound formations. The trio met at the Folkwang UdK where all three musicians study.
