Mykola Lebed

Composer, multi-instrumentalist and artist working on the border between acoustic and electronic music. He is best known as the saxophonist of the Ukrainian free improvisation and psychedelic music scene. However, Mykola does not limit himself to a single instrument. His solo pieces include minimalist piano pieces and solo improvisations on the saxophone, and range from ambient and electronic to intense "all-in-one" climaxes, which he usually achieves in his live performances. Combining sonic diversity with a free-jazz approach, Mykola creates a multi-layered stream of emotion that is full of intimate insight and experience. Each performance by Mykola is a unique musical act based on free improvisation and spontaneity, which gives it variety and intensity.
