On 2 March 2023, Wayne Shorter, one of the most important artists in jazz history, passed away at the age of 89. His impressive career spans from Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers (1959 ff.) to the second Miles Davis Quintet (1964-1969) , Weather Report (1970-1986) and many of his own albums to "Live at the Detroit Festival (2022)" and his opera "Iphigenia" (2021). Remarks on his path, his albums with famous covers and songs complete the evening dedicated to him and his music.
