Papercup Night Revisited

“Klinkhammer” is the darkpop solo project of Berlin-based artist Lisa Klinkhammer which crafts swirling, melancholic melodies over the drone of a minimalistic machine world. While all songs utilize a stripped-down, analog recipe of two synthesizers and a drum machine, the sonic environment is singularly defined by her vocals, which range from serene lows to ethereal falsettos, blending across textured pop hook dirges in both German and English.

Following Klinkhammer's debut EP “komatös”, self-released on cassette in 2017, her forthcoming LP “azure” will be released by Berlin/Cologne-based label Papercup Records in late 2021. Aside from her solo ventures, she is one half of the sentimental pop duo “Bad Hammer”.
