Rita Ray

The crown jewel of soul - Rita Ray - has been active since 2019. From humble beginnings to a force to be reckoned with on the scene, there's a lot of depth and drive in this small-town girl from Põlva, Estonia. Her powerful vocals and songwriting have paved the way for her to reach music lovers across genres. While her debut album "Old Love Will Rust" ('19) was presented in front of 200 people, the second album "A Life Of Its Own" ('22) was presented in front of 2000 people with a string orchestra in Tallinn's largest concert hall. There is a reason why Rita Ray sounds so genuine. Her musical foundation allows her to carry a lot of the weight when it comes to arranging for orchestra, writing and co-producing music and lyrics. Backed by a band of Estonia's finest musicians and production duo Solid Gold, Rita Ray really seems to have a formula for success. The musical styles explored so far range from blue-eyed soul to classic R&B to old-school disco. The young artist's growing confidence as a composer has steered her second LP toward more cinematic and symphonic soundscapes. In her rousing live performances, Rita Ray is usually accompanied by her four-piece band, but can also perform with an expanded lineup or orchestra.
