JazzyBrazilianity: Wolfgang Lackerschmid's love of Brazilian music runs like a thread through his musical career. Whether during his time in the USA or on tour through Europe, greats of Brazilian and Latin jazz such as Romero Lubambo, Claudio Roditi, Dom um Romao or Paquito D`Rivera have repeatedly joined the vibraphonist's band projects and play Lackerschmid's compositions, which are influenced by Brazilian rhythm and form, alongside traditional literature. The collaboration with the Brazilian Trio was thus only a matter of time. The three New York-based musicians of the Brazilian Trio each have an impressive CV. Whether as sideman or bandleader, they are all leading representatives of Brazilian jazz.
