Wukan

In the summer of ’21, guitarist and singer Simon Bahr’s fledgling solo project grew to include Leon Raum (drums), Helge Klein (bass) and Chris Kattenbeck (keys & synth). The sound of Wukan finds its basis in the interplay of drums and bass and is complemented by keys and synthesizer. Layers of rhythm guitar and vocals let the groove grow organically, creating a sound that is simple in its complexity and fun at the same time. Their EP released at the end of 2021 apart revolves around themes of a growing distance, both on a physical and mental level. At the same time, the music does not reflect a resigned inventory, but develops its own power. The EP is produced to be played live.
