Dionysos presents: Camillo Grewe
The visual artist Camillo Grewe appears as a pianist and composer in various musical and performative constellations. His cross-genre practice is evident in his prosecco-punk band "Fragil", with which he has already released 3 albums, and in various projects such as. the experimental opera "Cupid and the Animals" by Agnes Scherer. He composed the music for piano, 2 recorders, bagpipes, 3 singers and 2 flamenco dancers for the opera performed at the tramps gallery in London (2017), Museum Ludwig Cologne(2017) and Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in New York(2018).
Last year(2021) he developed the interdisciplinary stage play "Psychoreo" together with the Cologne band Hall&Rauch, which was performed at the Kölner Philharmonie. Starting from piano and voice, an opulent song cycle was created, which, supplemented by a string quartet, choir, guitar and synthesizer, seems like a musical ride through the emotional world of an unsteady mind.
Camillo Grewe plays his first solo concert at King Georg.
