Vom 16.–21. April 2024 stellt das Internationale Frauen Film Fest Dortmund+Köln ein großes und facettenreiches Filmprogramm in Köln vor und freut sich auf zahlreiche deutsche und internationale Filmschaffende, die in Köln zu Gast sind. Verschiedene Wettbewerbe und die Programm-Sektionen zeigen aktuelle und historische Filme von Regisseur*innen aus aller Welt. Der thematische Fokus: Rage & Horror spürt quer durch die Filmgeschichte Bildern und Geschichten von weiblicher Wut und feministischem Horror nach. Das Festival zeigt an 6 Tagen 95 Filme aus 40 Ländern.

Am Festivalfreitag ist das IFFF Dortmund+Köln mit der Festivalparty im King Georg zu Gast. Für die Musik ist das Kölner Mimosa Kollektiv verantwortlich.
Mimosa e. V. ist ein feministisches Film-, Kunst- und Musikkollektiv mit acht Mitgliedern aus der freien Kulturszene Kölns. Das Kollektiv veranstaltet vor allem thematische Filmabende außerhalb des klassischen Kinoraums, die von Lesungen, Performances und DJ-Sets umrahmt werden. Es kooperiert mit anderen Kulturakteur*innen aus der Stadt und fördert den Austausch zwischen verschiedenen Gruppen und Kulturinteressierten. Das Kollektiv legt großen Wert auf Selbstorganisation, DIY-Kultur und den Aufbau einer Community.
Vier der Mitglieder – Goeke, Vikki, Vitaminka und Yonca Yildirim – legen einzeln und gemeinsam auf. Ihre Sets sind genreübergreifend mit Schwerpunkt auf elektronische Musik, Synth, New Wave sowie Disco und House.

From 16-21 April 2024, the IFFF Dortmund+Cologne will present a large and diverse film programme in Cologne and is looking forward to welcoming numerous German and international filmmakers to Cologne. Various competitions and the programme sections will show current and historical films by women directors from all over the world. The thematic Focus: Rage & Horror traces images and stories of female rage and feminist horror throughout film history. On the Friday of the festival, the IFFF Dortmund+Cologne will host the festival party at King Georg. Cologne's Mimosa Kollektiv is responsible for the music.
Mimosa e. V. is a feminist film, art and music collective from the independent cultural scene in Cologne, consisting of 8 members. They mainly organise film evenings outside the cinema, which are thematically integrated and framed by readings, performances and DJ sets. In doing so, they cooperate with cultural actors from the city and encourage exchange between different groups and people interested in culture. They attach great importance to self-organisation, building up a community and DIY culture. Four of the members - Goeke, Vikki, Vitaminka & Yonca Yildirim - are DJing individually and collectively. Their sets are cross-genre and range from downtempo and electronic, dub, synth and new wave to disco and house music. Come along and be surprised by their selection!
